Andrea Giani's men have now qualified for the quarter-finals after having competed for three days. The men will fly to Bologna in Italy where the remainder of the competition will be held from July 20-24.

The Blues now have nine wins and three losses, thanks to this win against Australia (25-16. 25-12. 28-26). They had previously lost against Argentina (3-1) and the United States (3-1) in Osaka. They beat them 3-1 in Osaka (USA) on June 12, 2012.

The Olympic champions in Tokyo will now focus on their quarter-final preparations, although the name of their opponent is still unknown.

Since 2018, the French team has reached the final stage of the competition. The Blues have won the World League twice before, in 2015 and 2017. The 2022 edition serves as a preparation for the World Cup in Slovenia and Poland, which is scheduled for the end August and beginning September.
