The test positivity rate, which has increased from 21.9 to 40 percent over the same time period, is also quite logical.

According to the ARS, the number of hospitalizations is on the rise. They also note that there is still insufficient vaccination coverage for the booster dose. On July 8, 113 coronavirus victims were hospitalized in Dordogne. Eight of them are in critical care or intensive care (two per 24 hours).

Covid-19 has been responsible for 436 deaths in hospitals since the outbreak.
