Basque Country's leaders in athletics created a special menu to celebrate the 20th anniversary. The summer meeting brought together 300 athletes representing all regions, as well as several national stars. The Kechiloa stadium has never seen so many champions. This was a great surprise for the public and the times. In the 100m, 800m and men's pole vault events, five stadium records were broken.
Sprint events were especially notable because of the presence of high-level athletes, such as Maroussia Pare, Bordeaux's 4x100m relay team member: "I'm going to injury, this meeting allows us to take stock, we achieved 11.67 over 100m. It's encouraging for European championships.
In the pole vault competition, we could also see Ander Martinez (5m23), the Spanish Junior champion and Marion Lotout (Breton international) at work. Pierre Urruty (2nd place in the 5,000m) and Nicolas Mariani (5th at 800m) were local athletes who faced off at the highest level... Once again at home.
