The Dordogne has seen a new dry and hot period after the storms. It could last until mid-July according to the forecast. Many rivers are falling and some have reached alarming levels. The prefect extended the restrictions on irrigation withdrawals, effective Friday, July 8, with an order in effect.

The four rivers the Ceou upstream and Tournefeuille are in crisis, as is the Seignal, Conne, Tournefeuille, Seignal, and Tournefeuille. There is a complete ban on water consumption. Eight people are on high alert with a ban of water consumption for 3.5 days per week. La Belle, la Couze/Couzeau and la Germaine/Lizabel all on alert. Samples are prohibited for two days.
