Every year thousands flock to see the National Day fireworks. The region's pyrotechnic shows attract holidaymakers and tourists from all over South West during mid-July. This list may be altered depending on the severity of the heat wave or the restrictions imposed upon the departments by their prefectures.
Bordeaux: July 14, entertainment at 10:25 p.m.
Saint-Emilion: July 13th, "Dreams of a Starry Night", pyrotechnic display with fireworks from La Tour du Roy at 11:00 p.m.
Libourne: July 14th, at 10:45 p.m. from the stone bridge. Red and white dress code.
Blaye: July 14, at 11 p.m. from the Porte Dauphine in the citadel

The Gironde's predominantly forest municipalities, Soulac, Arcachon, and Lacanau are prohibited from firing fireworks due to the increased risk of fires starting. This prefectural ban affects 159 municipalities.
Perigueux: July 14th, at 11 p.m., on the quays at the Isle, near Saint-Front.
Sarlat: July 14th, on the walnut market square at 11 p.m.
Bergerac: July 14, at the port/Quai Salavette, 10:30 p.m.

The prefecture has cancelled many fireworks plans in Charente-Maritime due to the extremely high temperatures and risk of fires. In Royan, Port-des-Barques and Chatelaillon, fires from the sea are not permitted.
La Rochelle, July 14th at 10:45 pm The Pointe du Bout Blanc will film the show. It will be visible from La Rochelle's coast, Port-Neuf and Les Minimes.
Royan: It will be fired on July 14 at 11 p.m. on Grande Conche beach.
Chatelaillon-Plage : Eight boats will pull the huge fireworks from the ocean starting at 11 p.m. on July 15.
Anglet: July 13, 2011, 11 p.m. Fireworks from the beach at Les Sables d'Or and Chambre d'Amour
Biarritz: July 14, 11 p.m. Fired simultaneously from both the Rocher de la Vierge et the Lighthouse
Bayonne: July 14th, 2010, 10:45 p.m. fireworks on Adour, launched from a barge at the Adour between the Didam and town hall.
Saint-Jean-de-Luz & Ciboure: July 14, at 11 p.m., two fireworks will be lit. One is for the Socoa side and one for Saint-Jean-de-Luz. You can see the fires from every part of the bay.
Pau: July 14th, 10:45 p.m. Musical fireworks on Boulevard des Pyrenees. An 18-minute sound show and light show.
Laruns: July 14, 10:30 pm
Oloron-Sainte-Marie: July 14, 2011, 11 p.m.
Mont-de-Marsan, July 13th at 11 p.m. at the confluence between the Midou and the Douze
Saint-Paul-les-Dax, 11 p.m.: Traditional fireworks at the confluence between the Midou and the Douze
Biscarrosse - Plage: July 14, 11 p.m. Lac de Christus
