Marine Le Pen, patroness to the National Rally deputies, stated this Sunday, July 10, on BFMTV that Emmanuel Macron "bought" his election thanks to "whatever cost" during the Covid-19 outbreak and that it ended despite inflation.
"Emmanuel Macron bought his election regardless of the cost, and today he said that "now that I have been elected, we will cut the taps"," judged the presidential finalist.
Gabriel Attal, Minister Delegate For Public Accounts in Le Parisien, made the following statement on Saturday: "We moved from what it costs to what it costs." She said that Mr. Attal was there to make the French accept the measures to stop their purchasing power.

When asked about the topic, Pas-de-Calais' RN deputy mentioned the 18 cents pump rebate. She then suggested that she take "structural measures".
It wants to fund it with a super-profits tax by imposing a 0% VAT on a 100-basket of basic necessities or a reduction in VAT from 20 to 5.5% on "fuel, oil, and electricity".
She indicated that "we have submitted an amendment to the Finance Committee on the subject", while deputies will review this week in different committees the bill regarding the purchasing power, prior to its passage in the hemicycle on 18 July.
Marine Le Pen stated that RN deputies would vote for further tax exemptions for overtime. The Minister of Economy was also open to this measure.
