A new heat wave, with temperatures up to 38 degrees Celsius this Monday in Southwest

Next week will be hot in France. Meteo France forecasts that France will experience another episode of heat in the next few days. This is three weeks after the heat of mid-June. "High heat" will hit at the beginning of the week, with temperatures reaching 38 degrees Celsius in some parts of the South-West, and the lower Rhone Valley, Meteo France warns.

Meteo France reports that the temperature could rise to 39 degrees Celsius in some parts of France, including the South-East or South-West. Temperatures will rise to 30 degrees Celsius elsewhere in France that day.

They will rise to 35 degrees Celsius in New Aquitaine and Occitanie, respectively. The thermometer in Ile-de-France could reach 36 degrees C.

Meteo France announced that the heat will last and "will extend northward throughout the week", with a peak expected for July 16-17 and "a heatwave evolution to follow".
