The Department is updating its Agenda 21 Trophies operation to citizens. The purpose is to promote democratic, cooperative, social, environmental, and democratic projects. The jury awards 2,500 euros to the winner in each category (SSE structures, citizens, public authorities and establishments, and private companies and structures). Two hearts will be awarded 1,500 euros. The ceremony will be held in the fall 2022. Participation is only possible if you are a Gironde resident. All applications must be received by September 16.
The competition was won by the Saint-Christophe des Bardes Association in 2021 for its rehabilitation of a town grocery store. Les chemins de la Traverse, a Creon citizen, had been awarded the first prize for creating a participative habitat. Among "public establishments", the jury rewarded Micro-agri-Compagnonnage for its support system for micro-farms. For the "companies", La Nomali was chosen to create a processing unit for agricultural product for southern Girondin farmers.
